Ben Hammersley is a Futurist.
He is also a speaker, journalist, and consultant who can rock a trapeze as well as a triathlon.
He is paid to be professional weird, those are his words.
In this interview, I asked Ben to share how he has grown his business. Spoiler alert, one of them is a common one, referrals.
And discover how it pays for him to be the strangest person in the room and continually develop himself.
Ben also discusses outcome goals versus process goals and how that relates to growing his business.
Also how important it is to know what problem you’re solving for your client and to consistently reinvent how you can solve that problem.
And if you’re going to be at The Next Web Conference in Amsterdam in June, Ben will be one of the speakers.

Hi Stephanie, this is a side of Ben which I didn’t see at the GTD Summit last June which is in total contradiction to the persona who was ‘on stage’ for 2 days as the event’s MC.
This interview shows a depth and perception to Ben, which I greatly appreciate, as much as I enjoyed him in his role as MC. Thank you for sharing this!
Fascinating how many different sides people have and how the context of the experience can affect the assessment. Many thanks for sharing your thoughts, he is a fascinating human.
