Change can be scary. Change can be hard.
Change can also be exciting and rewarding.
As a business owner things are continuously changing and evolving.
Things like your: service providers, marketing, and business model.
In any case, you can’t stop change. So why not dive into the wave?

Don’t wait, go ahead and make the change you’ve been contemplating.
And don’t beat yourself up for not having made it sooner.

Thank you very much for your encouraging words, Stephanie and Emmy! I really like change and I even need regular change to thrive. – For my business, changing something that I really like but that was not successful was a great challenge. The challenging thing for me is to find out to what extent to change: I like drastic changes, but they would not be sending the right message, one looks not trustworthy, right? So I have to present them in smaller steps. I think that when we want to make big changes, it is always advisable to introduce the single steps of them, convince others (and ourselves) why this is good for them (and us), the pros and cons. I hope you forgive me if I don’t agree with the “doing a scary thing per day”. Sometimes one scary thing per week is enough. We need also to recover and process the scary thing we did, otherwise we can end up overwhelmed. Only when we are in a safe place, have had enough sleep, and “our cup is full” we can take that scary step without risking our “health”, because I assume that the scary things you’re mentioning should anyways not put us into danger, right?
Many thanks for sharing, Ute! Wonderful to hear that you love change and that you need it in order to thrive.
Appreciate your insight on changing in small steps so it doesn’t dilute trust.
No forgiveness needed, I support all points of view. I say do ‘scary’ in a way that works for you.
Indeed, it is important we take good care of ourselves. And you are right, scary things should not put you in danger. 🙂
Loved this, ladies! I have actually been pulling back from change as it’s been thrown at me in so many ways lately. But, I do have to change hosting, so i just put that on my list for Monday. Thanks for the nudge! xxoo
Happy to hear, Allison! I hear you, I switched hosting last year and I was nervous about it, luckily it went well. Find someone who knows what they’re doing and you’ll be fine. Good luck!
