As business owners we attend networking events and conferences to provide value, learn new things, and connect with people.
And at every event, there are a bunch of people and you will only meet a handful of them.
But what about all of the people you didn’t meet?
They were there because they care about some of the same things you do so there is a common interest.
There is a way to connect with people after the event.
In this video, I’m going to tell you how.

Follow up is a critical part of networking. As I mentioned in the video, here is my post about that: Why You Should Never Attend Another Networking Event.

And you may be thinking it’s too late to connect with people because too much time has passed since the event. Guess what, it’s never too late. More on this here, It’s Never Too Late to Follow Up.
Are you in? Ready to take proactive action to connect with people after your next event? Share your thoughts about this approach in the comments section. I respond to every comment.
I love the concept of connecting intentionally *after* the event. I also love connecting BEFORE the event with those I”m interested in – saves on the chit-chat while you are pressed for time AT the conference. It doesn’t work for all events, but sometimes a quick hashtag search will notify you to others who are attending.
I agree, Naomi! It’s always good to connect beforehand as well. Before, during, and after. And it’s never too late to follow up. Love the tip for a hashtag search, brilliant! Many thanks for your thoughts.
