As a business owner, you may be struggling with overwhelm or procrastination.
And your clients may also be experiencing similar emotions.
So while we’re all about long-term success and results for our clients, this is a great time to think about how you can help your clients move forward on a specific issue in a fast and relatively simple way.
Because whether your clients are other business owners or consumers, they all want to experience a quick win and make progress on the goals they have.
What does that look like for your business? In a recent post, I talked about three ways you can adjust your business model during this time, one way is to simplify your offer. Check it out here.
You can offer free ideas and also paid offers. I’ll use my business as an example of how I can help you get a jump-start.
Then I’ll give you ideas about how you can support your clients so they can have a quick win.
Advice for Your Business
I’ve got a free suggestion for you and a paid offer. In addition, I hope you already know that you can search my blog for any specific topic you need support on. If you don’t find something, let me know and I’ll direct you to a resource.
Free Advice for Your Business
My best tip for you, which is not new (as you may have noticed, there is nothing new under the sun) is to ask one person for one referral.
Who to ask? Ask someone you know, a previous or current client, a colleague, a friend, anyone you know well. What to ask? Ask if they know one (this is important, only one) person who needs what you offer. And if so, would they tell that person about your offer.
Business owners often avoid doing this because they are afraid of being annoying.
The truth is that people love to help people they know and are usually happy to do so. Especially these days when we’re all in the same boat.
The key is to help them think of one person, give them context to help them. I’ve created a bunch of posts on referrals, you can
check them out here.
If you want to give as well as ask, you can also commit to giving as many referrals as you ask for.
Giving referrals also creates a connection which can lead to all kinds of magic. More on giving referrals here.
If you commit to asking one person for one referral once a week (or a few times a week up to once per day if you’re feeling ambitious) you will get new clients.
That is my free advice to help move you forward quickly.
Paid Advice for Your Business
Up until now, I only had two options for mentoring support. One was free and the other was one-on-one.
Now I’ve created an online course that offers a vast amount of mentoring in a format that allows me to offer it for much less of an investment than working with me one-on-one. The online course is called More Clients Less Struggle, you can find out more here.
This might be the perfect fit for someone right now who wants support but has a smaller budget due to the current situation.
And the timing of this course is a coincidence because I started it last year not knowing a pandemic was coming. Courses like this require a lot of time and planning.
But you don’t have to create such an in-depth course for your clients, you can pick a precise topic and create a short course in a couple of weeks.
Ideas for Your Clients
Now it’s your turn. You can also offer free ideas and paid offers.
Free Ideas for Your Clients
What could you quickly put together to give to your clients for free support and paid support to help them solve one specific issue?
Here some ideas:
• Blog post
• Podcast
• Video Training
• 3 to 10 day challenge
• Short Workbook
• Free Webinar for 30 minutes
Paid Offers for Your Clients
How about a paid offer for people who have some budget. What could you offer, that solves a specific issue, that wouldn’t take a ton of time to create?
Think about things like:
• One-Off Strategy Session
• Short Online Course
• Paid Masterclass/Webinar
• Virtual Productivity Day Plus Feedback
• Small-Group Coaching
• Mini Mastermind
I hope you’re starting to get some ideas about how you can simplify and adjust your offers so you can help your clients solve the most pressing problem they have right now.
