Zahra Shaf asked 20 sought-after coaches for the single most valuable piece of advice they give to entrepreneurs fighting hard to build a successful business.
She wrote this post: Small Business Owners: The Best Advice from 20 Leading Business Coaches for Women Entrepreneurs building a Successful Business.
I was one of the coaches who participated, below is my contribution to her post.
Business owners are bombarded by the latest marketing tactics and strategies and try to do too many things and then quit before they know what works.
My advice is to select three marketing strategies that fit for you and then do them consistently.
“Marketing consistency is the key to growing a successful business.Β It may sound boring but it works.” Stephanie WardΒ
And to make sure that your marketing is effective, itβs critical that you first get really clear about who you are serving and what you are offering.
It may sound too simple to be true but I see a lot of entrepreneurs overcomplicate it and end up frustrated.
Below is an inforgraphic Zahra created for the post.
Are you consistent with your marketing?

It would be such a relief to do this – I constantly feel overwhelmed by my marketing choices. But how do you audit what are the best fits for you and your business amid the noise?
I hear you, Rachel. There are so many distractions and opinions. In fact, it’s quite simple (and perhaps a little boring) you simply have to analyze what has worked the best and do more of that. Here is a post on that: https://www.fireflycoaching.com/how-to-stop-wasting-money-on-your-marketing/. And once you have a few solid strategies in place you can experiment with adding a new one. Brilliant piece of advise. Thank you so much Stephanie for this awesome post.
Many thanks, Zahra! I’m grateful for the invitation to be part of your project. It’s inspiring to support such talented business owners.
