Stephanie what a timely tip! Yesterday I revisited my LinkedIn profile and made some changes that I hope will clarify what I do. When I received your blog posting this morning, I started looking at all social media sites as well as any networking sites and my website where I’ve posted my bio. I’ve brought them all in line.
It also encouraged me to take a good look at my website again, changing text and links to simplify how one accesses the information. Once again, a BIG thank you.
And the LinkedIn link you provide with profiling tips is great! She has a lot of relevant points which I’ve just incorporated.
Wonderful to hear Mary Jane! I love it when the right information comes at the right time. It’s amazing how small things can make such a big difference. Great that all of your profiles are now on the same line. I love that you are such an action taker!
Stephanie:
Insightful video message! What’s your take on a compilation page with several of your profiles, e.g. About.me and Flavors.me?
Thank you for your feedback Martin! I have profiles on both About.me and Flavors.me, I think these consolidation type of platforms are also interesting and good for SEO. Thanks for asking and all the best.
Stephanie: You presence on the social web is a combination of professional, personal and your interests that you share with other individuals. That is why I think social media apps and sites like Instagram and Pinterest will be more popular in the future. You do business with individuals in the first place, not a standardized, blend “businesss” profile.
I agree with you Martin. I love Instagram and Pinterest and share a mix of personal and business on both. Business is done between people and creating a connection is vital.
Hi Stephanie, what a great video. Thank you. It is so good to be reminded about these things. Often we get things like our profile all done and then never go back and update them. My FB profile needs re-doing and my FB welcome page too. So I will put that on my list of things to do! Thanks so much. It’s so great to connect with you.
Thank you for your feedback Meg, it is wonderful to connect with you. Indeed, profiles are like bread – they can never be fresh enough. Have fun updating your profiles, all the best!
Hi Stephanie,
I really enjoyed your video. I agree that your profile should be quick, simple and to the point, while at the same time giving a clear picture of who you are and what you do.
Many of my social profiles all have the same bio, or a similar bio and I believe they all give an accurate description of what I do. Actually, I’ve just recently finished writing another bio for a new position I just acquired and I was thinking about possibly renewing/updating the rest of my bio’s to match the current one I’ve just written.
Your video further confirmed it, lol. So, I’ll be taking your advice. Thanks for the tips and sharing this on BiizSugar.com. I appreciate it!

Many thanks for your feedback Ti! You shared an extremely important point, which is that it is imperative that your profiles are consistent with each other. Keep rockin’ your profiles and all the best!
