Here are three low-cost ways to get clients fast plus a video with additional practical tips.
1. Referrals
Referrals are fast and free way to get new clients.
But don’t wait for them, be proactive and ask for them.
Ask in an email, on the phone, or in person.
Ask current clients, previous clients, and people in your professional networks.
Only ask for one person and give some context about what you’re looking for so it’s easy for the person to help you.
Make asking for a referral a daily or weekly habit.
Another way to get referrals is to give them.
It’s critical to thank people who give you referrals. Preferably with a note in the mail.

2. Speaking
Speaking is an amazing way to connect with people and get more clients.
You need a fabulous title for your talk and a clear ‘call to action’ at the end that invites people to take the next step.
You can speak in person, on a teleclass, or on a webinar.
Arrange the talk yourself of speak at someone else’s event.
Promote the event on your website, social media, and ask people you know to promote it.
You can give a free talk or paid. Either way, it’s important the group you speak for is comprised mainly of your ideal clients.

3. Strategic Alliances
A strategic alliance is a partnership between two people who share the same ideal clients but offer different products or services.
They’re great because you market to many people via your partners instead of one-to-one.
Contact people you know that could fit as partners and discuss the possibility of an alliance.
You can agree to promote each other or it can be a one-way agreement.
Ways your partners can promote you: on their website, in their ezine, on social media, you could write a guest post, or speak for their clients.
Reward partners with a percentage of sales or services.
