Of course most people would like to have clients, money and sales, but these are the by-products of having a successful business, the manner in which many measure that success, rather than the business itself. I try (and sometimes fail...occasionally spectacularly) to live my life with my actions in line with my true intentions. It works for your personal life, and it works for your professional life as well. When you consider what problem or challenge you can address or alleviate, the promotion becomes client- or customer-focused rather than you-focused. And what client wouldn't appreciate that?!
